One in 7 children (or 280,000children in NJ) will experience the death of a parent or sibling before the age of 25. IN addition, the National Institutes of Health (NIH)  estimates that over 140,000 kids have lost a primary caregiver to COVID. This trauma can lead to long term mental health issues. Good Grief provides free programs and services to support children and families so that they never have to walk their grief journey alone.

This event brings together Good Grief Families, friends and the extended community to run or walk in memory of their loved ones. The day features a 5k run, a 2 mile walk, Kid Dashes, Family activities, a Memory Wall and more for those able to join in person. For those who cannot attend in person, please consider to sign up as a virtual runner and have the opportunity to view the program via a livestream,  I ask that you join me today in making a lasting impact on the lives of our children and our community.
