I am excited to be participating in Good Grief’s 5k Run and Walk on June 1st!  This incredible organization hosts this inspiring event to help us honor and remember those who we have lost, while creating community at a time when sometimes it may feel hard to find.  My older brother, John Hughes, had a unique gift for bringing people together and he was ALWAYS there when anyone he loved needed him.  My brother inspires me to be there for others however I can.  Losing John gave my family a deep understanding of grief.  But Good Grief gives me a chance to remember him with joy, engage with other families going through grief and hopefully pass forward even the smallest amount of hope, joy or support.  To do that would be an honor.

Please join me at the event (or donate!) to help raise awareness for grieving families and to help raise critical funds for Good Grief. Good Grief builds resilience in children, strengthens families, and empowers communities to grow from loss and adversity. Good Grief's programming is free of charge to all participants for as long as they need the support.
